Job Description:
Lead, manage and coordinate process improvement of existing processes, as well as development of new process and products for the facility. Work Safely and without injury. Coach technical, production, and process engineers. Provide direction and feedback. Develop Technical Engineers. Determine development and training needs and implement. Lead & Coordinate Enterprise Excellence for the Site Mentor engineers in Six Sigma, and lean tools and methods Track savings and impact from improvement projects Assist Plant Manager and Division Leadership with chartering improvement and development projects. Set goals and priorities for technical engineers. Leads process improvement for facility. Scope of up to 25 million dollars of Capital Equipment improvements per year Lead and Champion Six Sigma Teams Gather and analyze data about processes. Design and implement experiments. Act on Fact. Demonstrate a bias for action. Make changes to quality systems, procedures, training, and equipment when necessary to provide higher and more consistent value to the customer. Audit processes and product periodically as needed for quality improvement Troubleshoot equipment problems with interface from plant engineering Facilitate use of Statistical Process Control methods for the facility. Ultimate responsibility for Raw Material Specifications, Process Specifications and Product Specifications for the facility. Manage the SYR system at facility Ultimate responsibility for developing new products and processes at the facility. Interface with customers, R&D, Fiber Technical Services, Fiber Development Group, to come up with new products and processes ideas for the facility. Assure design phase of Engineering products meet process needs. Implement development trials at facility. Requirements: Must have at least a BS Degree in Engineering or other Technical Field.
