Job Description:
An engineering design firms seeks Project Manager with 10+ years’ experience in construction and management of building construction, particularly K-12 schools The Project Manager will oversee construction of building facilities (mostly school construction), manage field staff, interact with Owner's and architects to facilitate construction activities. Establish project objectives, policies, procedure and performance standards within the boundaries of corporate and client standards. Initiate and maintain liaison with client, contractor's and A/E contacts. Manage construction to ensure project is built in compliance with documents, on schedule and within the budget. Investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures. Manage financial aspects of the job. Represent URS and Client in project meetings. The candidate should have Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, architecture or construction management, or equivalent field, or equivalent experience. Should have the ability to manage site personnel and interact well with Client and other project participants. Thorough understanding of construction industry practices, processes, standards and their impact on project activities.
