Description:This position involves the oversight of construction of:a high concrete dam; underground or above-ground hydroelectric or pumped storage powerhouse; tunnel and shaft linings; and associated concrete works. Individual will be responsible for establishing job requirements, reviewing lift drawings or other constructs, supervising a staff of engineers and inspectors, and providing quality assurance throughout the construction process.This position will provide services to internal and external clients including construction planning, constructability reviews, project scheduling, contract management, preparation of bid documents, design of temporary construction work, drawing and specification reviews, etc. primarily for dam and hydroelectric project and large scale water resource projects. Field experience and knowledge of construction engineering principals and procedures is required.Applicant must have good interpersonal and communication skills.Supervisory Responsibility: Team of engineers and inspectors (about 10). Preferred candidate will have an applicable degree in engineering and should have a minimum of 10 years of directly applicable experience including at least 3 years in a supervisory position. Experience in construction of embankment or concrete dams is required.International experience in developing countries is required.Multiple language skills desired but not required.
