Responds to clients, claim customers and courts in a professional & timely manner. Must possess the ability to effectively negotiate with adversaries to resolve litigation. Possesses superior trial skills in litigating cases in state and federal courts. Maintains caseloads and productivity standards set by Managing Counsel. Effectively utilizes office resources to assure smooth workflow and cost effectiveness. Must have superior legal writing skills in support of motion practice. Must understand and take ownership of assisting the claim customers in meeting national, regional and local expectations and key department business goals while maintaining the required ethical standards of protecting the insured client¿s best interest. Shares expertise with claim customers and other departments on legal matters and conducts training seminars, as needed. Serve as a role model to staff inspiring others to the highest level of professionalism. Takes ownership and personal responsibility for own professional development. Completes and submits time sheets, reports, closed cases and other materials appropriate to performance of job duties in a timely manner. Handles special projects as assigned.
