Job Description:
Prepares project reports, schedules, presentations, and related items to keep Jurisdictions and other appropriate parties informed on the status of the projects assigned. Coordinates access for Construction Branch personnel and contractors to the project site. Determines specification practicability for projects, works with appropriate individuals of the Construction Branch to ensure that appropriate trades are on site when needed. Monitors material procurement to ensure that materials are delivered when needed. Provides guidance and technical advice to lower-grade employees and specialists within the organization in the performance of related assignments and is available to those employees for consultation on assigned projects. Resolves technical difficulties that can be overcome by changes in approach, criteria, or requirements. Follows applicable safety rules in the performance of duties. Attends safety classes to reinforce the awareness in safety. Qualifications: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of construction practices, methods, techniques, costs, materials, and equipment. Ability to communicate in writing. Ability to communicate effectively other than in writing. Knowledge of the rules and regulations governing federal procurements. Practical knowledge of engineering design concepts, principles, and practices. Ability to plan, manage, or administer construction projects or programs.
