Staff Operations & Training SpecialistSalary Range: 45,050.00 - 58,557.00 USD per year. Key Requirements: U.S. Citizen Major Duties:Provides technical advice and guidance to staff sections and subordinate units of the command on setting up and operating plans and programs, and the relevant administrative tasks Reviews various training circulars, master training schedules, inspections and test results, and other publications to determine what unit and individual training is necessary or required (usually in broad rather than specific individual terms). Reviews status of training of units. Recommends training to Commanders and other unit personnel. Prepares charts, graphs, and other visual displays. EXPERIENCE: Experience directing, establishing, and coordinating operations plans and programs for a unit or activity in areas of mobilization readiness, contingency planning, deployment, training, resources, and security. Skill in interpreting and disseminating guidance, developing and administering training programs, and performing evaluations and inspections to ensure unit readiness NOTE: If you are selected for this position, and are claiming education for experience, you must submit your transcripts within 3 days of being selected. The experience described in your resume will be evaluated and screened for the Office of Personnel Management's basic qualifications requirements, and the skills needed to perform the duties of this position as described in this vacancy announcement. Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must meet the Time in Grade Restriction. Education can be substituted for experience.
