Carries out Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) policies and program activities.As a senior expert in the field of information technology (IT) security, provides authoritative advice and guidance related to the The Library of Congress IT security program. Serves as senior expert and consultant to top agency management officials for advice on integrating IT programs with other key mission-critical agency programs. Leads the implementation of agency-wide security programs designed to anticipate, assess, and minimize system vulnerabilities. Coordinates the implementation of security programs across platforms and establishes vulnerability reporting criteria. Evaluates, acquires, configures, and uses software intended to ensure that automated systems are secure from unauthorized use, viral infection, and other problems that would compromise sensitive information in terms of confidentiality, integrity, and availability, or would compromise other aspects of overall system security.Manages the enterprise-wide implementation of new approaches to software development of applications and systems that serve multiple organizational levels, such as major changes to the life cycle process for development of enterprise resource planning systems. Serves as a senior consultant to top management officials on the design, development, and administration of various mission critical IT systems that support core agency functions and ensures that enterprise architecture plans are aligned with current and future IT security infrastructure. Provides computer forensics guidance for the Library of Congress and/or CRS.
