POSITION SUMMARY:
The Hospice Nurse reports to the Team Manager. Responsibilities include assessment, planning and interventions to maximize the comfort and health of patients and families. The RN will be serving in Boone and McHenry counties.
We enhance life by providing dignified and compassionate care and guidance coping with the loss and end-of-life.
Job Requirements:
Previous experience in hospice, home health, oncology, geriatrics or general medical/surgical nursing.
Demonstrated commitment to hospice philosophy of care.
Has available means of transportation that allows for reliable visits.
Knowledge and continuing awareness of technology associated with pain management and palliative care.
Completes volunteer training within one year of employment.
