Job Description:
Include user-centered design methods in all phases of the product development process. Express relentless drive for quality and a user-centered focus. Demonstrate passion for ease of use and simplicity despite the complexity of design desktop applications. Evangelize value and impact of quality User Experience on the business and on brand loyalty. Partner with product management to organize and facilitate meetings with customers and internal stakeholders to investigate and identify user needs, preferences, and priorities. Promote user research as part of the overall product design process. Leverage user research, an understanding of customer needs, design innovation to propose strategic enhancements to products. Validate proposed designs by leading design reviews among the design team, customers, planning and development representatives. Be efficient and insightful in dealing with peers, partners, and cross-discipline team members. Exhibit ability to collaborate with art directors, fellow design managers, UI text writers, product managers, and executives. Exhibit management confidence and prowess. A proven history of managing, mentoring, and grooming individual contributors, leads, and managers in the design and user research disciplines. Show excellent interviewing, networking, and recruiting skills. Champion design excellence and foster innovation within and across all design teams at Autodesk. Participate in and contribute to the Autodesk user experience community and other professional activities.Requirements Minimum 8-10 years experience in managing multidisciplinary teams (visual and interaction design, user research, user assistance), including experience managing leads and managers.
