Job Description:
Chief Information Officer (CIO), Information Management Division (IMD), and as the principal consultant to the USA MEDDAC, Fort Knox for the disciplines of the Information Mission Area (IMA). Responsible for the total planning, analysis, programming, procurement, implementation, operation and maintenance of computer and data communication systems for USA MEDDAC Fort Knox Network. Analyzes information system performance to ensure compliance with established standards. Evaluates present systems, plans, programs, and budgets for future program needs. Oversees the support of the automated information systems (AISs), communications systems for current OASD (HA), DOD, DA, and locally mandated systems. General Schedule To qualify, applicants must posses experience that demonstrates accomplishment of computer project assignments that required a wide range of knowledge of computer requirements and techniques pertinent to the position to be filled. This knowledge is generally demonstrated by assignments where the applicant analyzed a number of alternative approaches in the process of advising management concerning major aspects of ADP system design
