Job Description:
Responsible for conducting department food safety audits. Assist with the evaluation of food ingredients against specification requirements and to ensure products meet ARAMARK s standards of excellence. Assists in the safety and quality monitoring of food from raw materials through processing to our final customers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assist with the development and maintenance of new and existing food ingredient specifications Assist in quality checks on new and existing food ingredients to insure adherence to outlined specifications Field calls from the department managers, staff and customers for support of any technical, quality, public health, or food safety issues and questions Implementation and maintenance of all HACCP and other sanitation logs. Qualifications Job Qualifications: Understanding of regulatory requirements within the food industry including HACCP and all other pertinent USDA and FDA requirements Bachelors degree in Food Science and Nutrition, Restaurant/Hospitality Management or equivalent work history, preferred Prior work experience in the Food industry, a strong emphasis in Quality Assurance, restaurant food safety, HACCP compliance, and auditing skills, preferred Tolerate temperature extremes (hot and cold) in working in walk-in and around ovens and sinks and lift up 50-lb boxes Solid computer skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access) 1-3 years food industry operations experience, preferably within a multi-unit chain/restaurant.
