Job Description:
RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for management of clinical staff including the organization and development of a high performing team. Ensures consistency with clinical processes across disability products. Identifies opportunities to implement best practice approaches and introduce innovations to better address the customer s needs. Accountable for meeting the financial, operational and quality objectives of the unit. Executes business objectives and initiatives regarding clinical operations. Over sees Aetna disability clinical case management services, monitors daily performance to ensure business goals are met and compliance with Aetna policies and procedures is maintained Develops & implements strategies to improve accurate/proactive disability clinical claim handling.Evaluates operational performance data and implements solutions to close gaps Manages clinical operations to ensure delivery of quality service: staff, customer needs and resources. Manages department expenses, budgeting process and staffing needs. Intervenes with customer as needed. Manages projects as assigned. Establishes a clear vision aligned with company values; sets specific challenging and achievable objectives and action plans; motivates others to balance customer needs and business success; challenges self and others to look to the future to create quality products, services, and solutions. REQUIRED SKILLS: Requires a current unrestrictive clinical state licensure REgistered Nurse (RN), License Clinical Social Worker(LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)57 years of clinical experience.35 years previous supervisory/management experience required. Strong computer skills and experience familiarity with Excel, MS Word, and webbased applications, required.ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:Ability to communicate effectively with Providers, Members, and Staff & upper Management in both an oral/written formatAble to work with people in such a manner as to build high morale and group commitment to goals and objectives.
