Job Description:

Deputy Director and primary instructor. Develop, refine, and field-test curriculum and classroom demonstrations which focus on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Deliver classroom instruction to students in grades 5 through 12 who are participating in the Academy Flights. Collaborate with the Director to ensure program continuity and continually improve the existing curriculum. Act as Director when the Director is out of town or on leave. Interact with scientists and engineers in the development of specialized curriculum. Recruit schools and teachers to participate in the academy. Identify supplies and materials needed to deliver curriculum in classroom. Incorporate new technology in the classroom. Oversee teachers while their classes are at the Academy. Direct the other classroom instructor at out facility. Provide support for the planning and implementation of Academy events. Participate in a STEM education master's degree program and/or other professional development activities. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Science or Math Education required. Curriculum development required. Classroom teaching experience in math or Science required. Background in science or math required. Current teaching license (middle school/high school math, science, or technology) required.
