Job Description:
We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual to contribute to the implementation of the platform's data management strategy. In this role the candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the platform s system for managing laboratory data, will develop process maps, gather data management requirements from users, and work in a team to implement an integrated, flexible data management system. In addition, the individual will provide support and training to researchers on the use of the data management system and perform interim data management tasks while developing needed tools for researchers. This role offers significant growth possibilities. Requirements The successful candidate will possess: - BS or MS in the Life Sciences with 2-5 years of research experience. - Proficiency in Microsoft Access and Excel, scripting macros using VBA for Access and Excel applications, and SQL programming - Working knowledge and technical experience in nucleic acid technology, including PCR, cloning, sequence analysis, and mutagenesis. - Hands-on experience with laboratory automation, including; Q-pix, Tecan, Hamilton, and plate readers, and the associated data management requirements. - Experience in large scale data management implementation, database development, and computer programming, with a proven ability to interact with users to gather requirements. - Creativity, self-motivation, good communication skills, and strong team orientation. - Efficient multitasking and attention to detail. Desired skills/experience: NET programming language, such as Visual Basic or Visual C#; a scripting language, such as Perl; and experience implementing and administering Oracle or MySQL databases.
