This position will offer the opportunity to get great visibility into the application acceleration business, customers, and cross functional teams and allow you to work with some unique, cutting edge technology.Responsibilities* Provide day-to-day management and leadership for a very intelligent team sharing a common goal.* Develop systems, tools, processes that help grow the application acceleration business. Examples include: show the compelling value of our acceleration products, provide intuitive diagnostic capabilities for customers, auto-configure products intelligently, and simplify processes for client support teams.* Develop a good understanding of customer implementation scenarios and interact with technical customer facing groups to provide tight feedback for generating and validating requirements for other engineering teams.* Ensure timely, organized responses to engineering level support and work proactively to build systems, tools, and processes to reduce common types of escalations.* Investigate the possibilities of applying client's application acceleration technology to new and exciting areas, such as online gaming and VoIP, with tactical and efficient experiments.* Be an overall strong technical leader for the Application Acceleration business.Qualifications: Basic Qualifications* Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent* Overall Experience: 5-7 years or equivalent experience* 3+ years proven engineering leadership / management success * Solid understanding of how the Internet works (IP, TCP, SSL, HTTP, DNS, etc) * 5+ years experience with Linux/UNIX software development (Python, Perl, C/C++) *
