Every day, we run an infrastructure consisting of thousands of servers, supporting millions of customers performing hundreds of millions of queries. All delivered in milliseconds. Come push the envelope into the next phase of distributed computing and work with a lot of smart people.Responsibilities: Define system, quality and analysis on systems, networks, and applications, translating requirements into functional specifications and effective processes. Improve the build and release management for all online services. Ensure reliable index and code pushes. Work with Development and QA on validation of software changes. Adhere to change management policies and processes for all production hardware and software changes. Define and deliver optimal system architecture projects within agreed-upon timeframe. Assist in the development and maintenance of security best practices. Own projects for product changes and improvements. Develop tools and scripts to assist with routine maintenance tasks. Mentor other Operations team members in the usage of tools and scripts Provide recommendations for scalability and performance improvement in across multiple services and technologies. Provide oncall support in a shared rotation for production search services Requirements: At least 3 years, and 5 years is strongly preferred, of recent systems administration experience in a large scale production Linux or other UNIX environment, preferably as a senior member of the team.
