Job Description:
Technical responsibilities will focus on the design and implementation of all Unix environments (i.e. SUN Solaris and IBM AIX Unix ). Leadership responsibilities include project management, mentoring, workload monitoring, and providing technical expertise to other IT and business representatives. Design, configure, and deploy Unix (i.e., IBM AIX and/or SUN Solaris) server infrastructure to support business initiatives. Research, assess, and make recommendations on technology trends and advancements. Design and ensure security levels are met. Plan and schedule Unix Systems Engineering activities and projects. Assist with design and implementation decisions. Oversee projects within the Unix Systems Engineering team. Work with Global Unix Systems Engineering to implement highly reliable and consistent Unix server infrastructures. Manage staff including conducting staff meetings, developing training plans, coaching and conducting performance reviews.
