Requirements: Education:Bachelors of Science or Applied Science in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or 5+ years work and/or industry related experience.Experience:3+ years of detailed hands-on troubleshooting experience of a complex large scale enterprise application server environment with a minimum of three years in an ISP like environment. Expert hands-on knowledge of a specific JAVA application server product (ie.. Weblogic, JBoss, Websphere, and/or Tomcat) Working knowledge of LDAP directory services, routing protocols, load balancing, web servers, including advanced HTTP/XML protocols plus JAVA configuration In-depth knowledge of OSI layer 3-7, IP routing, TCP traffic analysis, application flows, Cisco switches, web servers & services, DHCP, DNS, Oracle, and IP Management Strong understanding of QoS/DSCP infrastructure in support of VOIP services and products Prior knowledge of major MSO (Multi-Service Operator) provisioning systems for video, high speed data services, and/or telephony a plus Ability to mentor staff level Engineers through both structured and one-on-one training sessions Ability to direct multiple resources on cross functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex systems issues Well developed communications skills and customer-centric attitude Solid understanding of application servers and services including JAVA based application server environments, UNIX applications services, load balancing and database technologies Hands on knowledge of system and application level monitoring solutions such as Netcool, Concord, and Wily
