Job Description:
Maintaining and enhancing the network performance and health metric collection and monitoring * Analyze the performance and health metrics to proactively avoid future problems, fix current problems, and aid in capacity planning * Ensuring that appropriate security measures are built into the network, that these security measures meet the performance needs of the center, and that they are not maintained in future modifications * Coordinate with cyber security staff to provide appropriate data for intrusion detection * Participate in on-call rotation, responding to critical incidents 24x7 The position requires a B.S. degree in computer science, or closely related discipline, and at least five years of experience directly related to computer or network security (or an equivalent combination of education and experience). Position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Ë Q\' security clearance. Experience in the following areas is highly desirable: * A solid grasp of networking fundamentals, operating system fundamentals, and their interaction with each other * Working knowledge of test utilities and other methods for simulating workloads in a test environment * A solid foundation in high-performance computing, experience with large supercomputers, and knowledge of the applications that run on them *
