Job Description:
This position is expected to identify a pipeline of opportunities with a total value of approximately $100 million in the short term and approximately $1 billion over the next 5 years. This position will interface with potential customers to discuss requirements, schedules and capabilities and with industry personnel to develop teaming and/or partnering relationships to support business needs. The primary focus for this position will be on the development of new business including R&D projects supporting Army Reset and on the execution of the Business Development Gate process for all assigned capture activities to maximize business performance. The Manager III - Business Development will function as the customer interface and advocate for relevant pursuits, identify and help shape customer requirements and lead the internal capture teams to develop and implement a winning strategy. Incumbents will take customer needs and, together with the Program Management Office (PMO), formulate technical solutions for management review. This position will be accountable for developing and expanding Raytheon's Reset portfolio of opportunities and will work closely with the PMO to ensure customer focused solutions are available. The incumbent will coordinate closely with other Raytheon business areas on related initiatives, act as a central knowledge base for customer strategic direction and will be able to formulate tactical and strategic plans to support both Raytheon Business Develop Team and customer objectives. The Manager III - Business Development position will also monitor assigned New Business Initiative budget requirements, and be involved in appropriate program performance reviews. This person will assist the Depot Support Systems team in conducting BD activities such as scheduling, tracking, and completing capture/proposal gate reviews for the ISR program. The Manager III - Business Development will make frequent visits and contacts with various customers to discuss program status and customer satisfaction and will assist the assigned program in the scheduling and conduct of technical briefings and meetings for product line, program, and customer management.
