Senior Technician (TNST6608) Job

Reporting to the Quality Manager, responsible for testing, calibration, evaluation and repair of products and systems.

• Performs test, calibrations, evaluations, and repairs of products and systems. Capable of performing technician duties with or without test fixtures and procedures. Capable of providing technical assistance to other less experienced technicians or production personnel.


• Performs necessary testing, repairs and troubleshooting on products and systems with minimal technical assistance. Must be able to effectively use and interpret data from multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic probes/pulsers, signature analyzers, frequency counters, logic analyzers, special purpose test fixtures, ATE, etc.


• Accomplishes required field repair and start up of special systems or products. Develops product knowledge and troubleshooting skills so those customer repairs can be accomplished in an efficient manner.


• Maintains complete and accurate records regarding customer returns, completes Return Authorization and Repair Reports, Manufacturing Log Sheets, etc. Compiles required test data in an orderly manner.


• Works closely with Design/Project Engineering on special products or systems testing. With direction from Engineering, builds and evaluates circuit designs; maintains accurate test data.


• Exercises independent judgement with a sound technical background on Chromalox products.

• Ability to train and give work direction to less skilled and experienced technicians or other personnel.


• Ability to make independent decisions on matters having an important influence on the outcome of assigned projects.

• Associate Science in Electronics required and more than three (3) years of applicable technician experience.
