DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Finance & Admin - 50% Provide general administrative support to the Executive Director, Development Director, and conservation program staff including scheduling, travel planning, expense report processing, document production, copying and mailing Manage monthly bookkeeping, including weekly deposits, bi-monthly bill payment account reconciliation, credit card receipt tracking, monitoring of account balances & checking of all Quickbook entries for account & class accuracy Prepare bi-monthly payroll and maintain all related records, including payroll allocation by class Provide both new employees and terminating employees with all applicable PRC/state/federal policies Prepare & manage contracts w/subcontractors, including preparation of 1099's annually Assist auditor with annual financial audit & prepare reports as requested Preparation and tracking of budget, cash flow, Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet & monthly financial reports to board finance committee Administer medical & dental insurance for staff and track accrued vacation balances Proofread, spell check, format and distribute outgoing documents Assist staff with scheduling and organizing meetings and events Maintain office supplies and equipment Handle administrative aspects of intern program Other duties as assigned Development and Communications - 50% Assist Development Director with maintenance of foundation, individual and corporate donor calendars, databases and donor files Prepare budgets for funding proposals Assist Development Director with membership recruitment, membership appeals and maintenance of membership databases Maintain PRC web site and update material regularly Assist Executive Director and Development Director in organizing all required information for proposals, reports, mailings, etc. Assist with event planning Assist with the scheduling and organizing of Board of Directors meetings Other duties as assigned Additional Qualifications: College graduate and general office/administrative experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills Good organizational and problem solving skills, strong attention to detail Ability to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize assignments Ability to work independently and with a team Punctual and reliable Interest in fundraising and marketing, previous experience a plus Interest in non-profit environmental work The Pacific Rivers Council is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
