Job Description:

The Operator is responsible for answering all incoming calls made through the main switchboard, routes routine and emergency calls or pages through internal and external equipment, and implements all emergency codes, per Hospital policy. Operates language line and alpha paging systems. Completes required paperwork to maintain an accurate in-house census. Greets and directs all patients, visitors and physicians in a courteous and professional manner. This position reports to the Admitting Manager.The Operator interacts with the following age groups: Adolescent, Adult and Geriatric. QUALIFICATIONS High School graduate or equivalent preferred Excellent communication skills Excellent customer service skills Professional appearance and attitude Computer experience in Windows environment Ability to multi-task , work independently and be team oriented Has full command (verbal and written).
