Job Description:
Ensure the continuity of the department. Participation in departmental management activities is required. Maintaining good working knowledge of all registration policies and procedures is essential. Making decisions in a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment are expected.The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education experience include: Bachelor's Degree required. Thorough knowledge of hospital registration functions, three- (3) year's management experience in related health care setting, excellent written and verbal communication skills, medical terminology required. Should have initiative, organizational skills and the ability to direct and educate. Working knowledge of managed care, (i.e. Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross, Champus and all related federal and state regulations and requirements). Working knowledge of ICD-9 coding and CPT-4 coding, Certified Healthcare Access Manager credentials highly desirable. Should be able to function under pressure for extended periods of time.
