Job Description:
We are currently seeking a strong leader to manage all science-based activities, including working with colleagues to develop operationally sound projects plans, troubleshoot genotyping and sequencing experiments and gain an understanding of variances within the Production Operations production line to design experiments to reduce variability and improve performance. In this newly created position, you will also be expected to design or coordinate the design of all troubleshooting experiments to address production failures, act as Production lead for all technology transfer from Development and serve as a mentor for other scientists within Production Operations. Requirements The ideal candidate is a highly motivated self-starter with a PhD in Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, or an allied field and 10+ years of work expeirnece in high-throughput -omics-based environments. At least 6 years of post-graduate industry experience is also required, along with a demonstrated track record of scientific success and excellent interpersonal, communication, management, leadership and organizational skills and the ability to establish solid working relationships with staff at all levels and disciplines. Direct expertise with high-throughput genotyping and/or sequencing is highly desirable, as is experience with formal quality plans and/or regulated environments.
