MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Research market conditions and forecasts, resulting in hard data for market analysis, trends, competitive data, identification of potential customers, etc. 2. Ensure that consistent sales and contract processes are established and followed. 3. Develop high quality presentation to be used by sales/management personnel with strategic and target accounts to differentiate , highlight the customer value proposition, and motivate the customer to discuss all opportunities that match capabilities. 4. Develop and manage a corporate contact database for external communications and important events. 5. Manage the company budget to ensure maximum benefit to and to continue to position the company as the premier marine transportation provider. 6. Develop plan in concert with profit center managers to identify cross selling opportunities. Lead this effort to ensure that customer targets are identified and the appropriate strategy and attendees are properly organized. 7. Work with profit-center managers to ensure is adequately connected at the appropriate levels within strategic customer accounts. 8. Conduct market investigation, and create plans that result in internal efficiency improvements in Transportation Services and that provide customers with best-in-class data.
