Job Description:
This position will have dual reporting responsibilities to Director of Adaptive Technology and Director of Marketing Sales Perkins Products. Responsibilities: Manages sales and new business development activities of adaptive technology devices, products and service for the Adaptive Technology Division by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates: Develops and implements strategic sales plans to accommodate division sales goals and support of low vision related products. Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly. Maintains regular contact with all current clients/customers and actively solicits for new clients/customers opportunities. Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates. Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales program. Directs new business development activity; coordinates sales distribution by assigning sales representatives to sales territories, quotas, and goals. Advises dealers, distributors, and clients concerning sales and advertising techniques. Analyzes sales statistics to formulate policy and assist dealers in promoting sales. Provides input on product simplification and standardization to eliminate unprofitable items for sales product line. Represents company at trade association meetings to promote product. Delivers sales presentations to key clients in coordination with sales representatives. Meets with key clients, assisting sales representative with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals. Coordinates liaison between sales department and other sales related units. Analyzes and controls expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements. Assists other departments within organization to prepare manuals and technical publications. Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion. Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition. Responsible for actively using sales force automation tools to manage client/customers and opportunities. Performs other related duties and task as assigned. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; a minimum of 5 years related marketing, sales or business development experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
