General Info: Our client is looking for a senior research analyst to be an integral part of their equity team. The group manages over $800 million of separately managed account assets for tax-sensitive clients through a large-cap core portfolio and a concentrated all-cap portfolio. The team uses several broad themes to guide them towards investments with tailwinds.

Experience / Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or University with an emphasis on finance or accounting preferred.
5-10 years of qualified buy-side or sell-side equity research experience.
The preferred candidate will have a variety of experience in different industries.
CFA and/or MBA preferred.

Responsibilities: The Senior Analyst, an integral member of the equity team, is responsible for 2-3 economic sectors. The role requires development of sector strategy and identification of investment opportunities. The Senior Analyst will conduct fundamental research on companies within assigned sectors, as well as participating in the portfolio management discussions. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Providing timely buy and sell recommendations and investment updates.
Monitoring and analyzing industry and sector trends.
Writing thorough research reports and presenting them to the equity policy committee.
Presenting and updating investment recommendations to portfolio manager.
Attending conferences and meetings with sell-side analysts and company management.
Building and maintaining detailed working models for individual companies.
Actively participate in investment discussions with other members of the equity group.
Support equity team in the advancement of current investment themes in addition to identifying new themes.
Effectively represent the equity team with internal / external clients and advisors.
