Job Description:
 A private tertiary for-profit school seeks a Financial Analyst with 1-3 years of relevant work experience. The candidate will be responsible for providing support to the director of finance. This position will also work closely with the student finance team to ensuring the fiscal integrity of all operations, consistency and integration of information into a central reporting system. Manage, track, and analyze financial reports and events. Assist in analyzing, preparing and reporting of budgets, and forecasts. Assist in building financial models for both operations and admissions as required. Develop and maintain journal entry uploads for month end. Manage, code and analyze invoices for accounts payable. Develop, create and distribute reports for student finance using powerfaids and AS400. Create and distribute reports using discoverer viewer for daily census numbers. Provide detailed financial analysis related to academics, operations, administration, marketing and admissions expenses. Act as the purchasing liaison for the division and track capital expenditures. Monitor financial policies and processes in order to make recommendations for improvement. Ad hoc analysis, special projects and other administrative duties as required. The candidate should have Bachelor of science in accounting or finance. Experience with financial analysis related to P&L and balance sheet is required. Knowledge of Lawson and discoverer a plus.
