A global supplier of technologically advanced aerospace and industrial products seeks a Manufacturing Engineer with 2-5 years’ experience. The candidate will be responsible for general manufacturing engineering support of assembly and test of products in electric systems operations. The job duties include processing of tooling, process documentation, standard work instructions and to develop better ways to build products. Common activities include: Interpret engineering drawings to prepare detailed assembly and inspection instructions for a variety of products using a variety of methods; identify, procure and proof all types of assembly and process equipment to provide the best value approach to the assembly and test of products; participate in ACE teams for continuous improvement; assist assembly and test personnel with assembly, test and inspection related problems on the production floor; develop manufacturing plans and assist in the layout of production lines and production work flows for the assembly, inspection and testing of a wide variety of products in a cost efficient manner. The candidate should have B.S. in manufacturing engineering. New/recent graduates with co-op experience are encouraged to apply. Should have experience with SPC/process certification, engineering design interpretation, assembly process planning and tool design. Must have the capability of hands on process development. Experience with lean manufacturing concepts is essential.
