Job Description:
This position will provide technical supervision for occupational therapists in Cleveland, Logan, Kingfisher, and Payne Counties providing services to infants and toddlers from birth to age three in the SoonerStart Early Intervention Program. Act. Duties include, but are not limited to: -Conducting evaluations for program eligibility and assessments for program planning; developing the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP). -Providing on-going therapeutic consultation and direct intervention. -Participating in multidisciplinary staffing meetings and in group and individual in-service training as appropriate. -Providing technical supervision for occupational therapists working in the early intervention program. -Maintaining records of all on-site visits and phone contacts with staff. -Assisting with annual employee evaluations and employee interviews as requested. -Assisting the local supervisor in the development of an action plan with the employee if technical problems are identified with a staff under their supervision. -Checking for licensure renewal annually for staff. -Attending quarterly technical supervisor meetings and quarterly peer staffings. -Evaluating the training needs of staff. Education and Work Experience: Requirements consist of a current Oklahoma license as an Occupational Therapist issued by the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure plus five years of professional pediatric experience as a licensed Occupational Therapist. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Requirements include knowledge of the principles, practices, and ethics of professional occupational therapy; therapeutic techniques and their application to occupational therapy; standardized treatments prescribed for various conditions; procedures to evaluate various skills and abilities; and the supplies, materials, and equipment used in occupational therapy programs.
