Nurse Responsibilities: Performs initial medical evaluation of patient upon registering at outpatient center Provides nursing care and monitoring to patients receiving moderate sedation per policy Demonstrates understanding of hemodynamic monitoring and provides appropriate assessment and patient care to patients during vascular interventions " Completes continuing education requirements per State of MA " Provides ongoing patient education Practice Management Responsibilities: (50%) 1. Responsible for the operational management of the center in collaboration with the physicians, surgeons, Director of Operations and/or Administrative Manager for the Department of Medicine/Surgery. 2. Acts as key communicator and resource practice staff, facilitating timely and effective dialogue amongst all team members, patients and other healthcare providers involved in the complex provision of care for this population. 3. Responsible for ensuring that all appropriate/required documentation is incorporated into the medical record. Monitors for compliance to all HIPAA and regulatory policies and procedures with respect to patient confidentiality and privacy. Oversees the administrative staff to assure that the entire office is compliant with policies. 4. Supervises both administrative and clinical support staff including administrative assistants, medical assistants, practice assistants, and any other designated personnel in collaboration with the department of medicine/surgery administrative leadership. 5. Coordinates recruitment, hiring, orientation of the practice\'s support staff. Provides support to staff, coordinates and prioritizes work flow, plans and assigns work/projects and determines staffing schedules and coverage. Plans and implements staff development and training activities and completes performance evaluations. 6. Responsible for the development and implementation of other business service lines related to the practice. 7. Responsible for creating practice related operating budgets for HMFP. Graduate of an accredited registered nurse program with licensure as a registered professional nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts by the Board of Registration in Nursing. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or other discipline preferred. 5-7 years experience in a hospital/clinical setting with at least 2 years of supervisory experience. Experience in ambulatory practice setting strongly preferred. Positive problem solving skills with strong organizational skills and the ability to establish priorities, handle multiple tasks and initiate appropriate responses.
