Job Description:
NURSE MANAGER, OPERATIONS DIALYSIS: Responsible for assisting the Clinical Operations Director in training and development of the staff; develop, and implement education based on staff needs, regulatory requirements and unit specific PI as well as coordinate orientation, competency and mentoring programs for new and existing staff. This position is expected to function as 75% administrative with a focus on education and staff development and 25% staffing (approximately 1 day per week). 5 years dialysis experience with 2 years of leadership experience preferred Expected Job Responsibilities: Fosters a unit environment that supports competence, employee growth and positive unit identification Assist with development of recruitment and retention strategies Development and implementation of staff orientation programs Development and implementation of staff competency programs Development and implementation of staff mentoring programs Participates in the orientation and mentoring of new and current employees Ensures use of evidenced based practice and current literature in devising best practice strategies and outcome measures to address unit quality and safety issues Participates in planning, implementation and evaluation of improvement efforts, including but not limited to: o Clinical Competence o Safety o CMS Indicators Participates in interdisciplinary teams to review CMS and Customer Service data and identifies opportunities for improvement Participates with patient chart reviews and audits Ensures compliance with competency and regulatory requirements Knowledge Skills and Abilities N/A Level Characteristics N/A Minimum Qualifications Education An RN BS minimum education is required. Current N.C. license as a Registered Nurse is required. Experience Work requires a minimum of 3 - 5 years experience in dialysis. Two years management experience perferred. Degrees, Licensures.
