Murphy VA Hospital, San Antonio, Texas. Duties focus on effective management of staff, developing collaborative working relationships, customer service, flexibility, adaptability and creative thinking skills. Position requires day/evening rotations to include weekends and holidays. Anyone interested in the position may obtain a copy of the functional statement for the Nursing Office.Qualifications: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level close to the work of this job that has given you the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities required to successfully perform. Typically we would find this experience in work within this field or a field that is closely related. Five years current Med/Surg nursing experience required. One year of Intensive Care/Emergency Room or related experiences preferred but not required. Self-Direction, initiative and excellent interpersonal skills are necessary for this role. Specialized Education:You must show successful completion of a full course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's degree or higher in the field related to the job to which you are applying.You must be a U.S. citizen to qualify for this position.
