This is more than a typical interior design position. It is a unique opportunity to establish and build an interior design studio within the creative umbrella of a larger established firm. This position will be responsible for developing high-end interiors and custom furniture lines to complement our ongoing work in addition to establishing a brand identity and seeking work of its own. This position is only appropriate for ambitious professionals with confidence in their design skills who want the opportunity - and have the ability - to push boundaries and think unconventionally. You must project an attitude of confidence, yet have the maturity to work in the real world. Current projects include; a Manhattan Townhouse, Madison Avenue Apartment, Garment District Duplex Penthouse, Theater District Catering Facility and Event Space, Nantucket Family Compound, Nantucket Resort, Hampton's Retreat, a Virginia Spa and Resort Master Plan, an ecological, multi-use New Orleans housing residence for 120 people, and a new modern mixed-use building for the Brooklyn Navy Yard. Candidates must have previous high-end residential experience and demonstrate considerable knowledge of the New York interior design arena. Candidates should also be prepared to present a tailored portfolio of work.
