Job Description:
Production Supervisor: This position is responsible for providing leadership to the production plant, which includes supervising and directing all related work activities. Works closely with all members of management staff to ensure that the highest quality products meet scheduled commitments in a safe/efficient manner at the lowest possible cost. Effectively coordinates and utilizes available resources to formulate action plans for process and quality improvements, LQMS, LPS, LMS and regulatory requirements, cost reduction, etc. Upholds and demonstrates the Land O'Lakes core values. Required (Basic) Experience & Education Bachelors degree, preferably in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or related field and supervisory experience in food processing environment,with progressive leadership responsibilities; or five years food plant experience in lieu of college degree with 3+ years supervisory experience. Must have strong computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites and data entry skills; ability to communicate with a variety of people and negotiate priorities; demonstrated written communication skills; capacity for consistently meeting deadlines; ability to manage multiple projects; solid organization and detail orientation, and excellent follow-through skills. Required Competencies & Other Skills Technical/professional knowledge and skills, building a successful team, coaching, decision making, facilitating change, managing conflict.
