Job Description: This position will require someone with a high level of drive and the willingness to spend time on the production floor to achieve the required results. This position is responsible for all aspects Cost, Quality, Delivery, Safety and Productivity. This position will report to the Vice President of Manufacturing within the Automotive System Group. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Motivate and supervise a workforce of over xxx employees, including employee selection process, development of roles and responsibilities Manage plant assets associated with improving cost, quality, delivery, safety and productivity Coordinate and support activities required to deploy lean manufacturing and to develop and sustain a lean culture throughout the organization Deploy plant processes and systems to ensure world class manufacturing processes are achieved Identify, plan and coordinate lean deployment activities, ensuring resource requirements are met for successful execution of lean initiatives Collect and report metrics / progress on associated action plans Communicate best practices and benchmarks Communicate well at all levels within the organization Qualifications Self-starter - results-oriented with a record of demonstrated successes accomplished through teamwork Have superior communication skills and teaching abilities Detail oriented and very hands on in a manufacturing environment Education BS in an engineering or related technical field, and working knowledge of lean manufacturing and lean deployment.
