Job Description:


Responsibility of the Director of Operational Excellence will be identifying, planning and delivering key business results related to process efficiencies, client satisfaction and associate satisfaction using specialized approaches crossing the sites and businesses. The position will develop and deploy new processes to promote and sustain an improvement focus throughout the organization. They will work with Sr. leadership, clients, vendors, associates and internal support organizations to drive change. This position will report to the VP of Performance Management (Operational Excellence) with matrix reporting to Site Leadership and based out of Springfield, OH. The position will manage exempt and non-exempt associates working on projects. Here is what needs to be accomplished: Drive key business results by leading complex projects and acting as change agent for efforts that cross clients, sites, and processes. Lead efforts with Sr. leaders to identify, plan and deploy critical improvement initiatives with governance processes, measurements and reporting to manage and sustain efforts. Develop and deploy key program processes to instill sustainable, consistent, and repeatable processes associated with improvement ie reporting, tracking, communication. Establish organizational change plan for program and projects w ith internal partners ie finance, communication, HR, project leaders, to ensure acceptance and integration of improvement efforts with ongoing business and gain buy-in. Create Center of Excellence for Improvement Efforts within Assurant Hazard Properties leveraging internal and external best practices, specialized Six Sigma Training development and deployment and consistent practices for coaching projects and certifying belt candidates. Qualifications Knowledge/Skills/Experience Required (Minimum Level Necessary) Mastery of technical skills associated with improvement approaches Design for Six Sigma, Process Management, and DMAIC Master Black Belt certification required Mastery of software programs minitab, powerpoint, excel Mastery of Lean Techniques required Proven results associated with Change Management efforts at the program and project level Strong interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrated through past experience and results Ability to work independently and with all levels of managers, associates, and clients with high credibility Demonstrated ability to work successfully in complex and emerging business and project areas, leveraging interpersonal skills and technical skills to optimize results Disclaimer.
