Job Description:
Contract Manufacturing Manager at the Spruance site located in Richmond, Virginia. The Spruance site is located near the border of Chesterfield and Henrico Counties in Richmond. Nomex, Kevlar and Tyvek are just three of the DuPont businesses represented at this site. Establish new and manage existing Contract Manufacturing facilities to support AFS Supply Chain and Business Needs ensuring alignment with DuPont core values, contract requirements, short and long term business planning requirements to support DuPont and Customer requirements Direct Contract Manufacturing facilities to support the strategy and plans of the the AFS Business, Supply Chain and Operations Teams. Represent DuPont and manage contract operations to ensure services are provided in alignment with core values, services are in alignment with contract specifications meeting cost and timing requirements to support business needs. Establish new contract facilities to meet AFS business needs aligned with best practices. Ensure continuous improvement plans are in place to improve business results and alignment with best practices. Provide leadership and direction to leverage existing contract manufacturing resources to meet new business needs and to drive continuous improvement in support of the business. Provide leadership and direction to develop new processes, R&D trials, or changes to existing processes at contract manufacturing locations. Represent Contract manufacturing with development of new products through research & development trials, product testing, value stream mapping, Product Stewardship Reviews and commercialization. The position requires capability to handle both simple and very complex contract manufacturing operations involving multiple products. The individual will be required to interface with multiple organizational levels both internal and external to DuPont. The position requires the ability to work independently and make decisions without minimum guidance. Business and functional guidance and support will be provided as needed for alignment and direction. Qualifications BS Degree. Supply Chain Experience. Six Sigma Certified preferred. Ability to lead and work effectively with multi-functional teams comprised of all layers in the organization. Strong team player. Strong interpersonal and networking skills. Demonstrated ability to track production to plan.
