Job Description:

A market leader in the development and deployment of post-trade, pre-settlement solutions seeks a Senior Software Engineer with 6+ years’ Java/J2EE experience. The candidate will work as a member of the engineering team - in designing, implementing, and enhancing the server-side components of the system. Collaborate with cross functional teams for specific product development efforts. Assist and provide input during the creation of business requirements and functional design. Work with technical architects to define and document system designs and solutions consistent with the prescribed architecture. Work with teams of software engineers and developers on multiple and complex software development efforts. Work with the QA staff during various phases of testing and test case preparation. The candidate should have undergraduate or advanced degree in a related discipline. Should have proficiency in PL/SQL. Must have proficiency in Unix, writing shell scripts. Financial Industry experience is a plus. Experience with MQ is required. Experience in the various phases of the system development life cycle including project planning, analysis and design, coding, and testing is necessary. Should have application development experience using Weblogic Server. Knowledge of financial industry messaging systems ( SWIFT, FIX, FpML ) a definite plus.
