Job Description:

One of the leading residential mortgage lenders seeks a Senior Financial Analyst with 5+ years of corporate or public accounting experience. The candidate will be responsible for representing a newly created position within external reporting department. Responsibilities will be primarily focused on the day to day coordination and preparation of elements of SEC filings. Position will report directly to the senior manager of financial reporting and have interaction with the director of corporate accounting and controls and corporate controller. SEC Filings – Form10-K/10-Q. Assist in overall preparation of the consolidated financial statements. Compilation/preparation of sections of Management Discussion & Analysis (MD&A). Compilation/preparation of footnote disclosures. Compilation/preparation of statement of cash flows. Assist in the preparation of various committee materials. Serve as a liaison with external auditor. Assist in research and implementation of certain technical accounting and disclosure matters. Serve as accounting resource for new or potential acquisitions/disposals. Preparation of government/regulatory reports. The candidate should have undergraduate degree in accounting - CPA required. Should have experience in financial reporting, preferably with SEC reporting and/or in the financial services industry. Proficient knowledge of computer skills including MS Office applications and intermediate technical skills related to controller’s applications is essential.
