Knowledge of accounting practices and disciplines, understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Understanding of financial reporting and currency conversions Working knowledge of the Microsoft Solomon, JD Edwards, product or similar products Working knowledge of Cartesis consolidation solution or similar products Experience implementing IT controls for meeting financial audit requirements. Recent experience in the energy industry Ability to manage a team of employees and consultants/contractors Demonstrated project management experience Ability to prioritize and manage daily activities; ability to identify priorities of requests Literate in current technologies (applications, hardware, communications) with the ability to work with the IT Infrastructure and Operations team Prior experience with a significant ERP solution is a plus Excellent communication skills, oral and written Ability to work as a team player within the service-oriented IT Department and with the company as a whole Desired profile Requirements 10+ years of relevant experience in IT development and maintenance is required along with working knowledge accounting and finance practices and disciplines. Degreed in related a discipline -- Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS, Accounting or equivalent experience. Hands-on manager. Ability to manage a technical team as well as individually contribute to more efficient business process and identifying system solutions. Process-oriented and analytical, quality-oriented thinking is a must. The individual will be required to identify logical, rational approaches to business solutions.
