Establishes and monitors goals, performance objectives and development plans for the team.Assists the System Administration team in maintaining the infrastructure that supports the NPR Digital Media products.Establishes standards for performance relating to code quality, testing, deadline adherence and monitors achievements against those standards.Participates in the evaluation of new database and programming language technologies.Serves as technical resource to member stations & partners concerning their databases, customized applications, and technical solutions.Performs other duties as assigned. Required Skills: Required Skills Familiarity with database administration, using Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, Sybase, or other relevant database technology.Four years experience with various computer operating systems, including: UNIX (Solaris, Irix or Linux), Windows 2000 and XP, and Mac. Familiarity with client/server networking applications including Web servers, databases and the connections between the two.Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.Excellent communication skills, adept at interpersonal, organizational, and external communication and communication strategies.Demonstrated and consistent ability to work well with others, showing at all times respect for the diverse constituencies at NPR and within the public radio system.
