Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dynamic, experienced and motivated individual for the position of Catering Sales Manager at our hotel. The position requires a high level of professionalism, guest service / hospitality skills, excellent organization, communication skills, strong multi-tasking capabilities, computer literate and detail orientation. To be successful you must possess organizational and time management skills. The responsibilities of the Catering Sales Manager include, but are not limited to: Promote banquet business through telephone solicitation and outside sales calls. Also through rebooking and repeat business. Follow through of complete set-ups and menu details of assigned accounts from sales and own accounts. Oversee functions in progress. Have a working knowledge of all systems, reports, set-ups, room sizes and forms used in the sales and catering office. Be available to direct all special projects and written correspondence for business solicitation, as initiated by the Director of Catering. NOTES: US Residents Only. Negotiable Requirements Previous selling experience is preferred Previous hotel sales experience preferred Aggressive, outgoing personality necessary Proven record of independent, self-motivated work habits required College degree preferred Must have ability to aggressively pursue and book catering business for the hotel Boykin has determined our core set of values as: Quality, Teamwork, Competency, Professionalism, Candor, Efficiency, Fair Play, Fun, and Integrity.
