Job Description:

Responsible for assigning groups to maximize hotel room revenue while maintaining group inventories according to the group sales agreements. Ensure group blocks are processed and updated on a timely basis and MARSHA inventory is properly maintained relative to groups. Manage and maintain tentative group blocks. Produce weekly group pick-up report and ensure rooming lists are received on time. Manage group cut-off dates and guarantee letters. Ensure accurate reservations and general information for each group. Work closely with meeting planners to obtain updated rooming lists, group changes; coordinate VIP/staff rooming lists and room assignments. Supports Event Management and Sales with housing process. ROOMS CONTROLLER: Responsible for blocking and coordinating guestroom assignments to maximize room revenue and efficiencies based on arrival and departure patterns and special requests. Ensures proper handling of airline contract rooms (where applicable). Prepares Express Check-ins as required and checks trace file for arriving groups and VIPs. Maintains room change list for front desk and ensures that requirements for daily checklists are met. Checks and verifies reasons for all maintenance rooms. Interacts with sales managers regarding the proper handling of their groups. Interacts with housekeeping regarding VIP arrivals and expediting rooms. Runs necessary reports for shifts. Assists desk manager with credit report and follow-up. Position requires excellent guest service skills and desire to provide enthusiastic services to guests.
