The Regional Sales Manager leads, develops and motivates the Convia regional sales team to achieve sales goals. Provides input and participates in the marketing, market planning and technical development of Convia products. JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Leads the direct selling and dealer sales focused activities for strategic opportunities on the front and back end selling process. • Develops and implements strategic selling initiatives and/or plans for the independent manufacturing associates and distribution to achieve assigned goals for order, shipment volumes and margin percentages. • Manages sales growth throughout the region through independent manufacturing representatives, business development, and account management and dealer sales. • Manages the regional budget, discounting, and account planning business activities and customer, dealer and A&D firms’ relationship management. • Serves as a resource for the independent manufacturing representatives proposals, negotiating, closing the sale and market plans development selling activities.
Job Requirements: •Bachelor degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field. •Electrical experience required – Must have. •Five to seven years of successful contract and/or capital goods selling experience with advanced strategic, conceptual, consultative, negotiation and contract closing selling skills or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. •Ability to think strategically and execute tactically. •Proven track record of leadership success, the ability to effectively manage a sales team and to work and contribute in a team environment. •Ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment with the ability to build long-term relationships with customers. •High level of business integrity and personal ethics. •Must be financially literate and possess business acumen. •Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications, with a strong emphasis on listening. •Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time within the U.S. •Ability to effectively use office automation and communication software tools used in the HMI office environment. •Must be able to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations.
