Responsibilities Manages inbound licensing and merger/acquisition activities across Sterling Commerce. Structures and negotiates third-party relationships that enhance Sterling Commerce\'s product portfolio, market penetration and customer base. Participates in development and execution of global business development processes. Coordinates cross-functional teams as related to business development opportunities. Performs in-depth analysis of business plans, financial statements and valuation analyses for strategic opportunities * Recommends courses of action with respect to strategic business opportunities and drives internal approval processes * Develops screening and evaluation methodologies for potential strategic business opportunities * Identifies, monitors, screens and qualifies acquisition / partner candidates for recommendation to executive management * Structures and negotiates relationships with third-parties (e.g., inbound licensing and merger/acquisition transactions) that fill technology, service, and other gaps in the company\'s offerings * Organizes and monitors due diligence / fact finding processes for strategic opportunities *
