Job Description:
Manager of the Pediatric Research Consortium develops and directs a diverse team of clinical research professionals and support staff responsible for setting the standard for translational research projects within the network. Provides advice, counsel and strategic direction to senior research administration and institutional leaders concerning the conduct of the Practice-Based Research Network. Works to support and encourage clinical investigations across the ambulatory network and to raise the level of awareness of the strategic and economic importance of clinical research to internal and external customers. The business practices section is charged with responsibility of developing and negotiating budgets for studies conducted. The business practices section develops the principles upon which study budgets are based, ensuring that budget templates not only identify all study costs, but also ensure that research-related procedures are distinguished from usual and customary procedures typically charged to insurance. While audits are meant to be educational, audit deficiencies need to be fully addressed and studies with negative audit results are subject to re-evaluation. Graduate of an accredited college with a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree. Masters Degree in Business/Management/Operations and/or Health or Research desired. Prior clinical experience as registered nurse, Pharm D., respiratory therapists, research coordinator, or other approved clinical area preferred. Minimum of 5-7 years clinical research experience, with progressive increase in research and administrative related responsibilities. Previous management experience preferred. Experience managing clinical research studies or projects preferred.
