Job Description:
The Clinical Study Manager must ensure that all studies are conducted in accordance with Federal, state and protocol requirements, standard operating procedures, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and Covance standards of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) as appropriate. The Clinical Study Manager is the primary client contact and ensures that client requirements are met as well the safety and integrity of the study participants is maintained. Serves as the primary point of contact under the guidance of a preceptor, for the client for issues related to trial conduct. As such the Clinical Study Manager must maintain close liaison with the client on study status. Monitors participant safety and compliance, including coordination of appropriate medical consultation /treatment as appropriate. Works with team members to ensure staff, supplies and equipment are appropriate for the trial. Coordinates CRF activities as appropriate; Ensure that all protocol deviations or other unscheduled study events are properly documented. Monitors clients and participants exit interviews, surveys etc. to facilitate corrective measures to meet future needs and expectations. Ensure that relevant staff responds to findings of QA or Client directed audits. Attends all required meetings, as appropriate. Handles participant complaints efficiently and effectively in order that their satisfaction is maintained. Takes ownership for the quality and standard of own work. Education/Qualifications BS degree in science or related field. CPR/AED certified. Basic knowledge of computer and programs (e. g. Word Perfect, Microsoft Word, and Excel). Experience 3 years of professional related work experience, 1-2 years of Clinical Research Experience is preferred.
