Job Description:
Sr Director Clinical Research is responsible for the creation of preclinical and clinical development plans and protocols. This will involve serving on and contributing to R&D teams such as target selection, delivery, etc. He/she will oversee medical writing, drug safety, clinical program coordinators, clinical research associates and clinical data managers responsible for all aspects of day to day operations for outsourced studies. He/she will negotiate contracts with vendors, develop and maintain budgets and be responsible for timely obtention of high quality data from all sites. The key goals of the position includes, Providing leadership and direction for clinical activities, including Establish scientific methods for design and implementation of clinical protocols, data collection systems and final reports. Develop information for presentations to senior management, clinical collaborators and/or other groups. A minimum of 5 years clinical trial experience in a North American pharmaceutical/biotechnology/CRO industry is required. Extensive primary experience in clinical trial design and conduct. Experience in preparing, implementing, managing, and analyzing clinical trials with biomarker endpoints. Strong leadership and management, with the appropriate supervisory skills. Strong time-management skills. Knowledge of GCP, ICH guidelines and clinical development processes and procedures. Well versed in financial management and exhibit a keen sense of bigger picture/strategic thinking coupled with inspirational leadership and decisiveness to act
